The PE department took a group of Y10 GCSE PE and Sports Studies students on an educational visit to Manchester United's Old Trafford Stadium. The students were highly engaged during the immersive workshop, actively participating in discussions and activities, and showing curiosity and enthusiasm by asking thoughtful questions. During the stadium tour and workshop, students gained a deeper understanding of the rich history of Manchester United, learning about the club's heritage, achievements, and the important role it has played in the development of football both nationally and internationally. They explored key moments in the club's history and discovered what makes Old Trafford one of the most iconic sporting venues in the world. A particular highlight was learning about the advanced technology implemented throughout the stadium. Students developed their understanding of how modern technology supports the running of a world-class sports venue, including aspects such as stadium operations, visitor experience, security systems, and communications. Throughout the day we saw exemplary behaviour and the school represented with pride - well done everyone.

A taste of the hospitality industry at Hall Park Academy! We're delighted to be one of just 8 secondary schools across the East Midlands selected for the Hospitality Connect programme, partnering with @parkplaza Nottingham to create exciting learning opportunities for our Hospitality and Catering students. To kick things off, Park Plaza visited us yesterday for a fantastic Year 10 sushi masterclass. Our students got hands-on, creating their own vegetable and seafood sushi to take home, complete with their very own chopsticks and bamboo mat.
